HOW YOU CAN HELP US!

There are several ways you can get involved:

1. HELP COLLECT SIGNATURES!

Take an 8.5. x 11 sheet of lined white paper, at the top, write: PRINT NAME, SIGNATURE, ADDRESS/ZIP CODE, EMAIL. Then start collecting names and signatures of anyone who is AGAINST balancing the budget on the backs of our libraries.

Email savelbpl@yahoo.com when your list is complete for further instructions.

2. VOLUNTEER!

We need volunteers to help sit at tables outside of the Main Library to educate the patrons about the proposed budget cuts and collect their signatures. Email savelbpl@yahoo.com with your name, phone number and available days (Except Sundays) and someone will contact you.

3. PARTICIPATE IN OUR PHONE CAMPAIGN TO CITY HALL!

Exact timing to be announced, email savelbpl@yahoo.com for instructions.

4. ATTEND PUBLIC CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS AND PUBLIC BUDGET MEETINGS

There are important meetings at City Hall that allow the public to comment on the proposed budget. We really need EVERYONE to attend these meetings and speak up about the impact of these proposed cuts!

Tuesday, AUGUST 19th 3:30-4:30PM Budget Workshop at the City Hall Chambers (Where the City Council Meeting are held)

Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 2nd 3:30-4:30PM Budget Workshop at the City Hall Chambers (Where the City Council Meeting are held) This might be the earliest time that the City Council VOTES on the proposed budget! Stay tuned as we learn more!
